CoVex: Our contribution to the fight against the pandemic
To address the current Corona pandemic, the Chair of Experimental Bioinormatics started a two week “ExBio vs. COVID-19” hackaton in cooperation with two TUM virologists. The Computational Systems Medicine recearch group was represented by Gihanna Galindez, Tim Kacprowski and Sepideh Sadegh.
During the hackaton a first version of the tool CoVex was developed, a drug repurposing tool that integrates virus-human interaction data for SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV. It is now available as online analysis platform. Current development updates and research can also be found on the Chair of Experimental Bioinormatics website.
A preprint is now available on arXiv.
